The talent of the Roy René confectioners is also found in the recipes of spreads, with such delicate tastes, made by hand in Haute-Provence. These palm oil free supremes, where the pronounced notes of dried fruits blend wonderfully with the milky roundness and sweetness of chocolate, are to be enjoyed on toast, pancakes, waffles or as an accompaniment to fresh fruit. Rather than traditional cooking in a cauldron, the artisans of Le Roy René have made the innovative choice of making their extra 55% fruit jams at low temperature, under vacuum in order to preserve the quintessence of the flavors and gustatory qualities. The natural aromas of the fruits, the colors and the nutrients are thus preserved. The fruits are selected from French producers to guarantee a superior quality: Solliès-Pont for the figs, Corsica for the citrus fruits, Dauphiné for the walnuts, Provence for the apricots and finally Burgundy for the black currant.
