Founded in 1890 in Girona, Spain. With more than a century of history, is one of the oldest chocolate companies in the country. With facilities of 5,000 m2 and an average of 50 people working on their premises, Chocolates Torras is visited every year by more than 20,000 people who can see our chocolate-making process live. Chocolates TORRAS was a pioneer in Spain in marketing a range of sugar-free cocoa by-products. A technological collaboration agreement with a Belgian company allowed them to jointly develop formulas and manufacturing processes that, to date, still surprising consumers for their exquisite taste. Nowadays, Chocolates Torras is sold in 55 countries over the globe, with production over 2000 tonnes per year and sold in a recognised department stores such as LIDL, AUCHAN, CARREFOUR, LULU, and so many others well known in the destination country. We also offer the possibility to produce under private label as we are doing for several customers. It’s also important to tell you that our facilities (4000 m2), recently enlarged to 5500m2, have been granted with the IFS certification. We have two different lines of Sugar free products: one sweetened with Maltitol and another, sweetened with Stevia. We also have an organic range. The use of new sweeteners that do not affect the taste of chocolate, along with a marked trend towards the consumption of healthier foods is taking hold the consumption of such products. An important factor is the continued expansion of our product range; our Tech Dept. performs a continuous research work which is focused on the annual release of several new products.
