Founded in 1891, Trapa is one of the most iconic and well-loved chocolate firms in Spain, which in 1969 introduced the first chocolate made in Spain, the now legendary CORTADOS pralines. In 2013, this pioneering company embarked on a new journey, creating a range of products based on three core concepts: innovation, style, and a social and environmental conscience. Trapa has a workforce of 150 employees and more than 120 distributors in Spain, and its products have presence in more than 50 countries. All of this is the result of major investment in both industry and R&D&I, and due to improvements to traditional recipes, which, although still inspired by artisanal methods and the savoir-faire that comes with more than 130 years of history, are finding new ways to meet the demands of today’s consumers. As a result, the company has obtained IFS and ISO 9000 certification. TRAPA has led to a major portfolio of 290 products. All of TRAPA chocolates are Gluten Free, Non-hydrogenated fats and Non-trans fats, Palm Oil Free in all Trapa products, with the aim of halting deforestation and maintaining biodiversity.
