Schluckwerder has been producing high-quality marzipan-, nougat- and praline-specialities since 1956. Through traditional and innovative production, Schluckwerder e.K. (registered merchant) developed into the leading manufacturer and supplier for the German retail trade with an increasing international orientation. In 1995, Schluckwerder e.K. (registered merchant) became the owner of the Erasmi & Cartens marzipan manufacturer in Lübeck, thus covering the global market for the original "Lübecker Marzipan". After entrepreneurial changes, the e.K. (registered merchant) became a GmbH (limited liability company). The Schluckwerder Group covers the nougat and marzipan needs of the retail trade throughout the year. Nevertheless, the focus remains on seasonal articles, which keep production going at Christmas and Easter. Optimal production planning and reliable logistics guarantee fast and short supply chains, this ensures always "full" shelves and satisfied customers. With a motivated production team of approx. 400 employees (during the seasonal peak periods) and administration in a central administration with 27 employees, a smooth process from customer enquiry to delivery will also be ensured in the future.
