Khalifa Al Hajeri is the Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates Growth Fund (EGF), the UAE’s AED 1 billion flagship growth equity platform backed by Emirates Development Bank (EDB). He leads EGF’s mandate to close the “missing middle” funding gap by backing UAE-based SMEs with patient growth capital and strategic support, enabling them to scale into resilient national champions.
With over 15 years of global investment experience at Mubadala Investment Company, Al Hajeri has built a distinguished career advancing strategic growth across multiple sectors and markets. At Mubadala, he played a pivotal role in driving growth and venture capital investments as well as building international sovereign partnerships, gaining a track record of successfully scaling businesses and forging transformative alliances.
His leadership is defined by a long-term builder-minded approach, pairing deep financial expertise with a strong belief in empowering founders. He is committed to ensuring that EGF delivers more than capital by providing SMEs with governance upgrades, institutional best practices, and access to networks that accelerate sustainable expansion.
Al Hajeri holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Spain, which complements his extensive regional and international experience.
